PRODUCT INFORMATION

What materials are your rings made from?

Every Saxe ring is made from solid .925 sterling silver.

That means no plating, no fillers, no shortcuts. Just real, heavy, high-quality silver.

Are the rings solid silver or plated?

All our pieces are 100% .925 sterling silver.

We don’t plate. What you’re buying is real precious metal that will last decades, not a thin coating that rubs off.

Will the rings tarnish over time?

All genuine sterling silver naturally oxidises with wear. It’s normal and part of the metal’s character.

A quick wipe with a polishing cloth brings it back to bright silver, or you can let it develop a darker patina to show off the life its lived with you.

Are your rings waterproof?

Yes. Shower, swim, wash your hands, get nasty: your ring can handle it.

Sterling silver is fully waterproof and sweat-proof.

Will your rings turn my finger green?

No. Green staining usually comes from cheap plated jewellery or alloys with copper or nickel.

Our rings are solid .925 silver, so they won’t stain your skin.

How and where are the rings made?

Every ring is designed, crafted, cast, polished, oxidised, and finished by hand in Kings Cross, Sydney.

Each piece goes through multiple stages of work to make sure it feels premium, weighty, and built to outlive you.

Being handcrafted also means each piece is uniquely made. No two rings ever finish the same which means no one will have a ring quite like yours.

How do I find my ring size?

We made a free printable ring sizer just for this very reason ↴

We use US sizing here, so if you already know your AUS/ UK size, our conversion chart in the above link will also tell you exactly which size to choose.

Do you offer half sizes?

Not for our first collection sorry. We only offer full US sizes at this time.

If you're in between sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size.

What if I’m between sizes?

If you’re between two sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size.

Sterling silver doesn’t flex, and a slightly looser fit is always more comfortable than a too-tight one.

How do US/UK/AU ring sizes convert?

We include a full conversion chart in our free printable ring sizer.

Just match your known size (UK or AUS) to the US sizes listed.

Do your rings fit true to size?

Yes, our rings are designed to fit true to size based on US ring sizes.

HOWEVER, due to the nature of them being handmade we can't guarantee perfect machine precision.

If you're tossing up between two sizes, we always recommend going larger size or buying for your middle finger so you have options if the ring is a little too small/ little too big.

Due to the lost-wax process we use to cast our rings we have seen them run a little small in some instances.

Do you offer custom sizing?

Not at the moment. All rings are cast in fixed sizes, but custom sizing may become available in future collections.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

How do I clean my silver ring?

Use a silver polishing cloth (included in every purchase) to wipe away any dullness or oxidation.

For a deeper clean, warm water + mild dishsoap + a soft toothbrush will bring it back to life without damaging the metal.

How do I restore shine?

A few seconds with your included polishing cloth will brighten sterling silver instantly.

If your ring has oxidation, polish lightly around the raised areas to keep the contrast while restoring the shine.

How should I store my rings?

Keep your ring in a dry place, ideally inside the Saxe box as it is lined with velvet. Otherwise any other velvet box or soft fabric pouch can work.

Storing silver away from humidity slows down natural tarnish.

Can I wear my rings in the gym/shower/ocean?

Yes. Our rings are waterproof, sweat-proof, and built for daily wear.

It can handle lifting, swimming, showers and any other fun you might have.

Is there any activity/ material that might effect the look of the ring?

Sterling silver is extremely durable, but a few things can alter the finish.

  • Mineral-heavy water (onsens, hot springs, natural baths) can react with silver and temporarily darken or dull the surface due to sulphur content. It doesn’t damage the ring but it can create a deeper oxidised look that can be polished back to bright silver with the warm soap method mentioned above.
  • Harsh chemicals like bleach, chlorine, industrial cleaners or pool shock can strip oxidation and flatten the finish.
  • Direct contact with strong cleaning agents or chemical-heavy skincare can accelerate tarnish.

Everyday wear, sweat, showers, and ocean water are totally fine. Just be mindful around onsens and strong chemicals if you want to preserve the original finish.

Do you include polishing cloths?

Yes, every order comes with a complimentary polishing cloth so you can keep your ring looking sharp.

When will my order be shipped?

All orders are processed and packaged within 1–4 business days during busy drop periods such as launch week or holiday sales.

How long does delivery take?

Order by 14th of December to receive your package before Christmas Eve (Australian customers only)

How do I track my order?

Once your order has been dispatched, your tracking number will be emailed to you automatically.

All domestic and international orders ship via Australia Post.

Do I have to pay customs duties or taxes?

International customers are responsible for any customs duties, VAT, or import taxes charged by their country. These fees are not covered by Saxe.

No duties or taxes are included in your shipping price.

Please be aware you may be charged this by your country's customs and this is out of our control/ separate to Saxe.

We do not accept refunds for items sent back due to unpaid taxes/ duties.

Most countries have a threshold for no duties required that our shipments fall under. The United States does not have this threshold.

Please do your research to find out how much duties/ import fees may cost you before you make a purchase.

Saxe products usually fall under 'Jewellery' or 'Precious Metals' for import/ customs categories.

All orders, domestic and international, are shipped with ye old faithful: Australia Post.

REFUNDS & EXCHANGES

What is your returns policy?

FREE EXCHANGES FOR WRONG SIZE
We know that finding the right ring size can be tricky online.
So, if you cop the wrong size, we'll swap it out for another size of the same ring for free.

To start an exchange, you must:

  • Lodge your enquiry within 14 days of delivery
  • Photo evidence of ring being unworn/ undamaged
  • Can return the goods unused and in their original packaging (we cover return shipping within AUS)
  • Your new size request
  • Email enquiry at hello@saxethelabel.com.au

All exchange approvals are at the discretion of Saxe The Label.

RETURNS FOR DAMAGED ITEMS
If for whatever reason your rings arrive damaged we will provide you with a choice of full refund or exchange for same product as long as you:

  • Lodge your enquiry within 24hrs of delivery
  • Photo evidence of damage
  • Can return the goods unused and in their original packaging (we cover return shipping within AUS)

We do not offer returns or exchanges for change of mind.

What if my ring arrives damaged or goes missing in transit?

Damaged items:

STOCK & CUSTOM WORK

Do you offer engraving?

Not at this time. All designs in our debut collection are cast as fixed pieces and cannot be engraved.

Engraving may become available in future releases.

Can I place a custom order?

The short answer: maybe!

We don’t offer custom or personalised designs right now. Our focus is on limited-run collections made in small batches.

HOWEVER, we love playing with new ideas and designs so if you have something fun you want to make with us please get in touch and we'll see what we can do.

Will you offer gold in the future?

Possibly. We’re exploring gold-vermeil and solid gold options for future collections, but we're not sure if we're gunna tackle that beast just yet.

Will you restock sold-out designs?

Nope. Once they're gone, they're gone for good.

Do you accept wholesale orders?

We offer wholesale on a case-by-case basis. Because our pieces are handcrafted in small batches, wholesale availability depends on timing and stock levels for each drop.
